Your daily business will involve

  • You are at the forefront of building an innovative and novel product for electric vehicle residual value determination from early concept stage to final customer deployment and iteration 
  • Develop and improve cutting edge algorithms for battery state and parameter estimation (mostly focusing on remaining capacity) based on vehicle time series field data 
  • Investigate innovative new approaches how to advance battery state estimation based on vehicle stimuli e. g. via charging connection 
  • Work closely with our lab engineers on testing cells and/or modules to verify your algorithms and methods  
  • Integrate and deploy the algorithms into the TWAICE battery analytics cloud platform and various solutions for mobility and energy upon it 
  • Within the role you work together in a small, cross-functional team of product managers, UI/UX designers, software and battery engineers to develop a wholistic product for vehicle residual value determination in a “you build it, you run it” environment 

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information technology or equivalent  
  • 2+ years of experience in algorithm development for battery state and parameter estimation  
  • Understanding the electrical, thermal and aging behavior of Li-Ion batteries  
  • Ideally experience in Python and Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience in developing products in an agile environment  
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks at a time and drive them to successful completion   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus)   
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, positive-mindset, customer focused, and service-oriented
